Privacy policy

1. Who we are

OnePagerSite ("we") builds web pages for local businesses from published information (Google Maps listing, website) and operates onepagersite.com. We operate from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Replies by chat, text message or email are given by OnePagerSite's AI assistant, an artificial intelligence currently in training: it is not a person, so it has no legal name or NEQ (Quebec business number) to provide.

2. What we collect

• Contact forms on business pages: your name, phone number, email (optional) and the message you write, the IP address and time of submission, and the record of your consent.
• Text messages (SMS) and emails exchanged with us or with businesses.
• Visits to our pages: page viewed, referrer, device type and IP address (statistics, bot detection).
• Business owners: the information you give us to create and edit your page.

Business information (name, address, phone, hours, photos) comes from public sources.

3. Why

• To forward your request to the business you contacted and, if it cannot respond, to a partner professional in the same field in your area, only if you ticked the consent box on the form.
• To reply to you, confirm receipt of your request and honour your request to stop being contacted (STOP).
• To operate, secure and improve the service.

4. Who we share it with

• The business named on the page where you wrote.
• A partner professional in the same field in your area, if the business cannot respond and you consented. They commit to use your contact details only to answer your request, to identify themselves, to respect your right to withdraw and to delete the data once the request is handled. We do not sell lists.
• Service providers that process data for us: hosting of the site and functions (Vercel, Cloudflare), database (Aiven, Toronto, Canada), SMS delivery (Telnyx), email delivery (Resend), automated message analysis (Anthropic). Some are located in the United States, so your information may be processed outside Quebec and Canada, under equivalent contractual protections.

For requests involving sensitive information (health, finances, personal situation), the text of your message is not forwarded as-is to a third party: only the essentials (name, phone, type of request) are shared.

5. Consent and withdrawal

Consent is requested through a checkbox, unticked by default, before each form is sent. You can withdraw it at any time: reply STOP to a text message, or write to privacy@onepagersite.com. Withdrawal does not affect communications already made.

6. Retention

Form requests are kept for 12 months, then deleted or anonymised unless the law requires otherwise. Visit statistics are kept in aggregate form.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your information, withdraw your consent, and ask about our practices by writing to the person responsible above. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or, outside Quebec, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

8. Security and incidents

We restrict access to information, encrypt exchanges (HTTPS) and keep access logs. In the event of a privacy incident presenting a risk of serious harm, we notify the people concerned and the Commission.

Any change will be published on this page with its date.
